Not including comptroller hopeful Harvey Hilderbran — who transferred $278,000 from his state representative campaign account — the single-biggest contribution received among these candidates belongs to Brandon Creighton, who received a $175,000 donation in his bid for agriculture commissioner.

I like the way we're tough on keeping large corporations from donating to political campaigns here in Texas. A fine example of neo con ethics. The silence from the media in this state on purchased elections is deafening.
