The U.S. Census Bureau last week released revised county population estimates for the nation, providing a snapshot of Texas' population as of July 6, 2012. Below we have put together an interactive that visualizes the growth of the Hispanic population in Texas. In particular, growth was seen along the I-35 corridor from San Antonio to Austin, in Hardin and Orange County in Southeast Texas and in counties around Amarillo in the Panhandle.

According to the data, six more Texas counties became majority Hispanic in 2012, and two of those, Hockley and Terrell, were among the nation's six new majority-minority counties.
