In mid-March the Center for Public Policy Priorities, an Austin-based liberal think tank, prepared a spreadsheet that breaks down how each county's health and human services funding would be affected by the original draft of HB1, the House's slim-pickings version of the 2012-2013 state budget. Below, we have visualized the total proposed reductions for each county. The darker the shade of orange, the larger the amount projected to be cut. We also performed an independent calculation of how much health and human services funding would be cut per person, using the CPPP's figures and population data from the 2010 Census.

Note: The numbers for cuts to health and human services funding prepared by CPPP include Medicaid.
