Editor's note: The pencil brackets are no longer being updated. For the most up-to-date look at the field of 2014 candidates, please visit our official brackets.
The 2014 election season is now in full swing, with candidates declaring and filing for races, consultants churning out campaign ads and the political rumor mill swirling. Here's a look at the people who have actually filed with the parties, along with those who have either thrown their names in the ring or been mentioned as contenders. View the 2012 election brackets here.
An * indicates an incumbent, a strikethrough indicates an incumbent that announced he or she is not running again, and bold indicates a candidate who has officially filed for the 2014 elections.
We'll update the brackets as new information comes in.

Posting comments that do nothing but call people names not only shows a lack of civility but a limited intelligence and vocabulary.
Grow up, act like an adult, and attempt to express your opinion (or lack thereof) with facts, not name calling.
