In 2015, we covered state lawmakers' efforts to cut health care spending after Gov. Greg Abbott took office on a promise to fight federal health reform. In 2016, we'll report from the ground as the Obama administration seeks to sign up as many Texans as possible for health coverage in a hostile political environment. We’ll also continue to follow the consolidation of the state’s major women’s health programs and Texas’ push to kick Planned Parenthood out of Medicaid.
